ProCourse Content Standards, version 1.0.0, effective 31 October 2026
These Content Standards are Schedule 2 to the ProCourse Seller Agreement. They apply to courses, previews, descriptions, profiles and material submitted for publication. ProCourse reviews courses before publication and may decline or remove material under the Seller Agreement and Reporting and Takedown Policy.
1. Ownership and permissions. Courses must be original or properly licensed. You must own or have written permission to use third-party text, images, music, video and software. Exam-preparation material must not reproduce copyrighted past papers unless permitted. Everyone identifiable in your course material must have consented to appearing in it.
2. Accurate descriptions. Courses must be accurate and clearly described. State the lesson count, duration and level. Keep published material accurate, and submit changes for review. Changes must not materially reduce what learners bought.
3. Prohibited material. Courses and related material must not contain:
- hate speech, harassment, incitement or unfair discrimination;
- sexual or graphic violent content;
- content that is unlawful or requires film or publication classification that ProCourse has not obtained;
- personalised financial, medical, legal or tax advice, or unsupported health or earnings claims;
- unverified accreditation or credential claims;
- other people's personal information without a lawful basis;
- malware, or links to infringing or unsafe material;
- content aimed at children: launch is adult-only.
4. Accreditation and credentials. Do not claim accreditation, NQF levels, SETA, QCTO, CPD or SACE recognition unless you have provided current evidence and ProCourse has approved the claim. A course completion is not a qualification, credit or professional designation. Do not describe an unaccredited course as accredited or suggest that completing it confers professional registration.
5. General education. Courses provide general education. They must not provide personalised financial, legal, medical or tax advice or hold the Seller out as providing that advice through ProCourse.
6. Privacy. Course material must not contain learners' or clients' personal information. The Seller Agreement and its Schedule 3 govern any learner information received from ProCourse.
7. Accessible learning. Captions or transcripts are encouraged.
8. Reports and enforcement. Report suspected unlawful, infringing, harmful or misleading material using the Report link or by emailing legal@procourse.co.za. ProCourse's Reporting and Takedown Policy explains the notice, response and decision process. Repeat infringement leads to termination of the Seller Agreement.
